The name Bamboo Coaching was inspired by the Chinese Bamboo Tree.
For years, there’s no visible growth. But beneath the surface, it’s developing a strong, complex root system - hidden, but essential.
Then, when the time is right, it grows 80 feet in six weeks.
That growth isn’t sudden. It’s the result of patience, preparation, and trust in the process. That’s how I see change - subtle yet powerful.
Through coaching and psychological awareness, I help you reconnect with your values, emotions, and deeper self - the foundation for real, lasting change.
Coaching with me isn’t about quick fixes, surface level change or generic advice. It’s a space to explore what’s shaped you - the beliefs, patterns, and early experiences influencing how you think, feel, and respond. My goal is to bring this awareness in, to help you to choose, with clarity, how you want to respond, change, and grow beyond them.
Ruth Brown, Founder of Bamboo Coaching
Like you, I’ve faced life’s mix of joys and challenges - experiences that have shaped me deeply and led me to question how I respond. This journey has taught me to embrace complexity with curiosity and self-care.
I’m an accredited Transformational Life Coach, having completed an ICF-accredited course at the Animas Centre for Coaching. I hold a First Class Honors degree in Psychology BSc from The University of Birmingham where I specialised in Human Centered therapeutic approaches and child and adult development. I’ve also completed a Play Therapy course at the Academy of Play and Child Psychotherapy and am currently pursuing further training in adult Psychotherapy.
Adjacent to this, I am passionate about Business growth. I have over 15 years’ experience in marketing, strategy, and digital consultancy within Fashion, Beauty, and Tech. This, combined with my psychology background, I bring a holistic approach that supports meaningful, lasting growth both in the work place and personal life.
