FAQ

Q. What reasons would i see a coach?

There’s no one reason to come to coaching - just a willingness to explore and grow.
Clients I’ve worked with have come feeling stuck or uncertain, questioning their direction, navigating self-doubt, imposter syndrome, stuck in a past event but wanting to move forward, relationship shifts, anxiety, or simply sensing that something needs to change. Coaching creates the space to untangle what's going on beneath the surface and explore a way forward with clarity.

Q. Who is coaching aimed at?

Coaching is for anyone ready to make meaningful change - whether you know exactly what you want to work on, or just know that something isn’t sitting right. If you're curious, committed, and open to self-reflection, coaching can meet you where you are and support your growth from there.

Q. What is the difference between COUNSELLING, mentoring and coaching?

All three offer valuable support, but they work in different ways:

  • Counselling tends to focus on the past, exploring emotional experiences and healing.

  • Mentoring involves guidance from someone more experienced in a particular field, often offering advice and sharing their path.

  • Coaching is present- and future-focused. It’s not about giving answers but about creating a space for you to explore - through reflective, open conversation that invites clarity, action, and growth.

While coaching acknowledges where you’ve been and can offer reflection in the past, the emphasis is on how you want to respond now and what’s next. It’s non-directive, person-centred, and shaped around your unique journey. Many clients find that coaching can complement other forms of support or come at the right moment for moving forward.

Q. Do i need to have clear goals defined before I sign up?

Not at all. Some people come with specific goals; others arrive feeling unclear but knowing something needs to shift.
Wherever you are, we start there. We’ll work together to clarify your focus, uncover what’s underneath, and shape a direction that feels aligned and meaningful. What matters most is showing up with honesty and a willingness to explore.

Q. How many sessions do i need?

There’s no fixed number - growth takes different shapes for different people.
Some clients benefit from just a few focused sessions; others continue over several months to support deeper transformation. We’ll discuss what feels right for you during the free discovery call and review together as we go. See example packages in Bamboo Coaching Sessions page.

Q. What does a coaching session typically look like?

Sessions last around an hour and can be held via Zoom or in person (if based locally in Paris).
They’re collaborative, spacious, and shaped by what you bring. Some sessions may feel more reflective, others more action-focused - but always grounded in what you need. We’ll discuss a plan that suits your pace and goals in the introductory call.

Q. What if I decide coaching is not right for me just yet?

That’s completely okay.
The free consultation is just a space to explore - no pressure. For coaching to be effective, it’s important you feel ready to engage in the process. If now isn’t the right time, you’re always welcome to return when it is.

Q. what will I get from coaching?

Coaching can lead to significant and lasting change - whether that’s clarity in decision-making, shifts in mindset, unblocking unhealthy belief systems, greater emotional insight, or new ways of responding to life’s challenges.
It’s not about a quick fix, but about deepening your connection to yourself so you can move forward with greater intention, confidence, and resilience. When the work is meaningful, the impact is lasting.
